Hartman Cemetery

The wooden bridge entrance over Pleasant Run Creek leads into Hartman Cemetery.
Park in the Hartman Cabin parking lot off Aber Rd and take the gravel path to the
bridge and into the cemetary.

Historic Hartman Cemetery

The first persons buried in the Hartman Cemetery, located just to the east of the Hartman Cabin on US Route 50 and Aber Road, were Lucy and Catherine Hartman, daughters of William Hartman, in February of 1811. W.P. Lucas, one of the first teachers in Jackson Township, is also buried there.
