The Jackson Township Zoning Commission

Picture
Overview

The Jackson Township Board of Township Trustees is authorized by Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 519.04 to create and establish a township zoning commission. The Commission consists of five (5) members who reside within the Township and are appointed by the Board of Trustees. Two alternate members may also be appointed by the Board. An alternate member takes the place of an absent regular member at any meeting of the Zoning Commission and the alternate member may vote on any matter on which the absent member is authorized to vote.

The terms of the regular members are of such length that the term of one member expires each year. Members of the Zoning Commission may be removed for nonperformance of duty, misconduct in office, or other cause as deemed by the Board of Trustees.
