Marathon Community Park
Picturesque Marathon Community Park is located at 5464 Marathon Edenton Rd. (just north of State Route 50) in Marathon, Ohio.
Jackson Township's only public park provides residents with a walking and bike trail, modern playground equipment, a basketball court and, a picnic shelter with grills available, all nestled in a peaceful tree lined 5 acres. As much a place to bring the kids for the playground equipment, you will also find Marathon Community Park a relaxing atmosphere to sit on a bench or under one of the mature trees and read that latest novel.
Note: 3.5 Trips around the walking trail is equivalent to 1 mile.
The park is open from dawn to dusk, year around.
Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
Marathon Park is a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy—both people and pets! To help keep our park clean and safe, please remember to pick up after your pets and dispose of waste properly in the trash bins provided.
For the safety of others: No motorized vehicles are permitted beyond the parking lot.
Assistive mobility devices, including wheelchairs, walkers, and motorized mobility scooters, are permitted throughout the park in all areas open to the public. These devices ensure that individuals with disabilities can safely and comfortably experience the park’s facilities, trails, and open spaces.
Please note that golf carts, ATVs, and other motorized recreational vehicles are not considered assistive mobility devices and are not permitted to operate within the park. Exceptions apply only to official township, maintenance, or emergency vehicles.
